This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.theraspecs.com (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Phone calls with our customer care and sales teams may be recorded. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about Device Information, Order Information, and Message Information.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, creating any custom order products, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; analyze performance and trends; and, when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), for use in online advertising targeting, and to generally improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, creating internal dashboards to analyze performance and trends, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
We use Message Information that we collect to help respond to messages we receive most efficiently and to provide better service to our existing customers. For example, we might use a provided email address to connect a request to previous orders or communications in order to provide our customer care team a complete history of our interactions with an individual or review a phone call recording to verify a customer request.

For example, we use BigCommerce to power the Site, Braintree Payments to process payments, ShipStation to process orders, Google Analytics and Visual Website Optimizer (VWO) to help us understand how our customers use the Site, one or more optical labs to create lenses for custom orders, and ActiveCampaign to manage post-sale communication with customers and those who have opted in to receiving email news, tips, and product updates from us. We use data hosting service providers in the United States to host the information we collect and we use technical and organizational measures to secure your data. When necessary to create a physical copy of any Order Information or Message Information (for example, to process a custom order for prescription lenses with an optical lab) we physically limit access to this information via means such as non-publicly accessible storage, secured couriers, vendor access controls, and locked file storage. While we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage, no security system is impenetrable and due to the inherent nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others.
MINORS
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.
CHANGES
