Stella TheraSpecs combine modern fashion with excellent protection. These premium, Italian-made frames are lightweight with large lenses to block unwanted light with minimum pressure on your face and head.
Outdoor TheraSpecs are great for wearing outside in bright sunlight. They:
Provide more relief than normal sunglasses
Reduce headache and migraine frequency and intensity
Relieve painful light sensitivity and glare
Stella TheraSpecs come with a microfiber carrying bag.
Polarized lenses block the sunlight that glares off water, cars, roads, and other flat surfaces. This glare accounts for much of the light reaching the eye on a sunny day. Because of this, polarized lenses are considered essential in any pair of high-quality sunglasses, especially for anyone who is particularly sensitive to light. In fact, Dr. Vincent T. Martin of the National Headache Foundation said, “It’s not just light, it’s usually glare” that causes headache and migraine problems. This is so important for our customers that polarized lenses are standard in our outdoor TheraSpecs.
Are there drawbacks to polarized lenses?
Polarized lenses do interfere with some computer and device screens (that’s why indoor TheraSpecs aren’t polarized). A very small portion of people who try polarized lenses report feeling ill while wearing them. This is exceedingly rare and can usually be traced to something other than the polarization, like low quality lens material. Of the thousands of TheraSpecs we’ve sold, not a single person has reported this issue.
Non-polarized Outdoor Lenses Available
If you would prefer non-polarized lenses in your own frame or in one of ours just let us know! We would be happy to create them for you.
