Premium Light Management and Protection
Each of our lenses are precision tinted to filter problematic light from screens, fluorescent and LED lights, flashing lights, disorienting patterns, unwanted blue light, bright sunlight, and more. They were developed based on our review of decades of published, peer-reviewed research on light and the filtering of certain wavelengths.
We have multiple FL-41 lens and lens strength options, including our polarized FL-Sun, as well as lenses that target other parts of the spectrum—making TheraSpecs the most comprehensive offering of light-filtering glasses on the market. Below is a list of our lens options:
- FL-Pro™: offers the strongest FL-41 protection for artificial lights and digital device screens | three lens strengths available
- FL-Blend™: balances FL-41 protection against screen and other artificial light with more natural color perception | two lens strengths available
- Z-Blue™: filters the most problematic wavelengths from flashing and/or repeating lights and patterns | three lens strengths available
- Flex: takes the edge off of the bright light with a barely-visible tint
- Sleep: removes 100% of blue light and may help promote healthy sleep when worn before bedtime
- Contrast HEV™: may bring greater visual contrast and comfort for screens and bright light
- FL-Sun™: enhanced outdoor protection—the best sunglasses lens you've ever tried | polarized | two lens strengths available
All lenses are available with non-prescription, prescription, or reader correction.
Better Than Generic Blue Light Glasses
Our non-polarized lenses offer more protection against artificial light when compared with typical clear- or nearly-clear blue light glasses.* They are also lighter than a typical pair of sunglasses, which makes them more appropriate for regular indoor use.
Plus, all TheraSpecs target specific wavelengths that may be most problematic for patients, giving them specialized protection that best fits their needs. They block 100% UVA/UVB light and feature additional coatings to reduce glare and scratches.

Stylish and Protective Frames
We offer several readymade and fashionable frame styles. But stylish frames are only one part of the equation. Unlike other glasses, TheraSpecs’ frame design also maximizes their benefit. In fact, many frame styles:
- Wrap around the face to block non-filtered light from the sides and above
- Feature large lenses to filter the most direct light
- Minimize reflections from behind the wearer
- Are made of lightweight, adjustable, flexible materials to minimize pressure on already-sensitive heads
We have fitover frames as well for people who currently wear prescription glasses. In addition, patients can send in any frame they like and we can make lenses for those frames.
Their Cost
TheraSpecs pricing varies depending on style and lens choice, but start at $99, which is less than similarly high-quality sunglasses. We also offer discounts for buying multiple pairs. All of this makes TheraSpecs a cost-effective option for patients.
Resale pricing is available for selected medical professionals. Contact us using the form below for details.
