June is Migraine and Headache Awareness month (MHAM). Migraine and headache are woefully underfunded in research compared to other diseases, especially when the total scope of the disability they cause is considered! Raising general awareness of the seriousness of migraine and headache disorders is a critical part of securing the needed research.

Throughout the month, groups such as the American Migraine and Headache Association, the American Migraine Foundation, and the National Headache Foundation will be working to get the word out. In addition, a network of blogs and other sites will be sharing content under the hashtag #MHAM - search for it on social media to find a treasure trove of great posts and articles to read and share.
