Yes, Contrast HEV targets the highest energy wavelengths in the blue spectrum (455nm and below). Exposure to this blue light can decrease visual contrast, making it harder for your eyes to focus.
Like all TheraSpecs lenses, Contrast HEV also blocks 100% UV light and features an anti-glare coating to further enhance your visual comfort.
How does Contrast HEV compare to typical blue light glasses?
Contrast HEV filters more blue light than blue light glasses with clear or nearly-clear lenses, making it a more protective option for your favorite activities like gaming, using your computer on phone, and watching TV.
By filtering out more blue light than other glasses, Contrast HEV can enhance visual contrast—giving you greater clarity, sharpness, and comfort.
Can I wear Contrast HEV while driving at night?
Yes, Contrast HEV is light enough that it is legal to wear while driving at night in most locations. In particular, if you are wanting greater visual clarity and contrast on the road, we recommend Contrast HEV.
If you experience sensitivity to headlights or other bright lighting while driving at night, try Flex instead.
Is Contrast HEV right for me?
