Does FL-Blend use FL-41?
Yes, our FL-Blend lenses use the FL-41 tint, which filters the most harmful of wavelengths of between 480-520nm, which are most responsible for aggravating light sensitivity. FL-Blend trades some protection for more natural color perception.
Does FL-Blend filter blue light?
Yes, our FL-Blend lenses filter light between 480-520nm, which is in the blue-green spectrum. They also remove more wavelengths across a wide spectrum of blue light than typical clear- or nearly-clear blue light glasses.
Like all TheraSpecs lenses, FL-Blend also blocks 100% UV light and features an anti-glare coating to further enhance your comfort.
How does FL-Blend differ from FL-Pro?
FL-Blend targets the same wavelengths as FL-Pro with a subtler, plum-colored lens. As a result, there is less of a noticeable color change while wearing FL-Blend. If you want the strongest defense against artificial light and/or experience more severe light sensitivity, we recommend trying FL-Pro first.
In addition, FL-Blend is available in two lens strengths, whereas FL-Pro offers three strengths, all of which can help meet your specific needs.
Is FL-Blend right for me?
We recommend FL-Blend if you experience mild or moderate light sensitivity and/or if you want a more subtle lens option to fight against artificial light, such as computer and device screens, fluorescent lights, and LEDs.
